IQ TEST FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

One day a Singapore based NGO contact my hubby to conduct IQ test for flood victim in Pakistan, that day I didn't really pay attention to it. My concern was more to where the test will be held, which mean "I'll be left alone with kids and in law for few days". And it's Islamabad

I was wonder how it will be, as I know a bit the character of the illiterate Pakistanis (feel no offense my "Pakistani family").

The spirit of hard working is missed from these people, I never know from where to analyse, to solve this think tank even no body knows including Pakistani, as I know want to enjoy the life with all the privileges. Even they are from lower class, (I should not have said this cause I just observe what comes on my eyes). Comparing to our native (read: Indonesian) that we have to earn our own priviledges by ourself, no body will entertain you nor treat yo as a king if you a lazy bump beggar...

I do not really know who are these literate people here, are they those who can read and write, if they don't have wills to learn then how they have wills to know their IQ???? (later on i knew that literate person means one who can sign... so sad)

Is that as simple as "bait" among 1000 peoples only few will be selected, if only they know this, i wonder how many people will take the test, as the nature is "why should think hard if the aids has come, well as long as I can eat and live who need to be selected one".

I think to gather 1000 people from the camp to get tested you need to bring basic foodstuff for free and force them sit to clear the paper... otherwise you will only get less than 50-100 people come voluntary...

or lets not called IQ test for illiterate but for flood victim but expect less....

Soon after my husband came back from the camp, he told me there were around 500 people appeared for the test...

basically this test was to select some of those flood victims to get better life by giving them some training which can bring out their skills...

for sure as I expect less... none of them were qualified nor had valued IQ (=IQ jongkok).

But this effort must be appreciated as not much people did something to this change the poverty in that part of the world...
